I sure hope you're still working on this, 'cause DANG but I really, really, really want to see it! ... Not really a 'query', I'll admit.
Yeah, I am absolutely still working on this! I’ve been really busy and my computer died on top of it, so posting progress online has kind of come to a temporary halt. But I’m drawing pages for a prologue script that I wrote and have been working on kind of a concept art bible for myself so that I can keep things like backgrounds and other sorts of world-building updated, consistent and in one place that doesn’t have me searching 40,000,000,000 sketchbooks for things like a floor plan I drew in 2006.
Off topic, I’m super excited that you have an art Tumblr so I can follow your work here. haha
Posting some old person-Ralph sketches since I’m spending my New Year’s working on NEW STUFF!!!
Starting pages for Chainsmoke’s prologue tonight! The written script came out to just over 20 pages.

Just wanted to shout out a HEY HELLO to new followers here!
This account is art-only and kind of replacing my old blogspot. If you’re interested at all in what a huge dork C8 I am, my personal tumblr is http://goddamnitkate.tumblr.com where I actually follow everyone, reblog, chatter and post silly things!
THANKS FOR FOLLOWING!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, guys! (even though this sketch has nothing to do with holidays or eating. haha)
Just a quick, tangible list of Chainsmoke related things I’m doing.
- Get remaining website stuff in order until pages are ready to post. Need to add an “updates” box or something, finish the character page, etc.
- Make a font from handwriting. If that looks like garbage, then it’s back to handwritten text.
- Finished prologue script, should be around 30-40 drawn pages? whatever the pacing/narrative requires
- Then part 1 resumes from where I left off.
If that seems like a long time coming, I definitely don’t think I’ll upload one page at a time. Probably will post a few at a time - one page or a whole story arc - whatever is necessary. I might burn through any backlog that way, true, but I think these pages have a better pay-off in batches. Uploading consistently/being late still worries me if anyone has suggestions on that? I was thinking of just doing “whatever I’ve finished by the end of the month” or something once I really get the ball rolling. But more than anything, I just want to make my comic, relax, have fun and post it whenever I feel like it. Thing is, that leaves you guys guessing. So, I dunno.
On the side:
- Have to finish that single page gore comic I was doing.
Thought I’d post a little panel from the comic page I’m working on. It’s just a one-pager for fun. :B
